Rezumat | ||||||
The work “Our Father” for the a cappella choir by Gh. Ciobanu combines the Byzantine element and the modern component technique with the application of the Sprehstimme procedure, which reflects the “spoken” style of interpretation of the prayer “Our Father” in Christian Orthodox churches. Thus, there is a harmonious and natural combination of the two styles of interpreting a prayer in the divine Orthodox services across the entire Romanian space: sung and spoken. Even if it is a fairly small work, “Our father” for the a cappella choir by Ghenadie Ciobanu carries in itself a powerful and deep emotional load. The sacred and the profane intertwine across the poetic content and musical language. |
