Whatever is the level of the national education system where we have an educational unit, so either, or at the pre-university level (kindergarten, middle school, high school, school inspectorate) or at the university level (department college, university), its manager must take responsibility for the present and future of it, which implies a large set of stuff, among that he must assurance of the of the professional development of all teachers within it, he must undertake support staff within it, and not least, he must be fully aware that of his empowerment depends largely the fate of the generations of students which are studying in this educational unit. The aim of the paper concerns an analyzed of the manager's role in the framework of the national educational system, from the perspective and experience of the authors.
