Rezumat

The results of correlation variability between measurements of the conformation of cows of Sumy intrabreed type of Ukrainian Black-and-White dairy breed and size of milk yield have been given. The positive correlations were statistically reliable between measurements and milk yield of cows-heifers: height at withers (r = 0,458), chest depth (r = 0,375), rump width (r = 0,323) and ischial humps (r = 0,375); оblique body length (r = 0,303) and rump (r = 0,213); chest girth (r = 0,388). The degree of heritability of measurements varied in the range of 0,130-0,325. The proportion of variability of measurements of the main body structure traits was primarily due to the heredity of the improving breed (23,8-34,9%), breeding value of the sire of cows (15,8-32,5%) and the father's line (7,5-18,9%).
