Rezumat

The growing interest of researchers to the electrodeposition of alloys and electrochemical doping of galvanic coatings is related mainly to three reasons. One of the main reasons for the development of this area is the ability to save metal fund. No less important, and perhaps decisive, reason is the possibility of obtaining new materials and galvanic coatings with improved functional properties. The third reason is related to environmental issues and the replacement of hazardous industries. At present, the development of technology of functional coatings with specified properties is an urgent and difficult task. And due to the fact that the important characteristics of modern industrial goods for special purposes are strength, wear and corrosion resistance, while improving other characteristics, the development of new technology and deposition modified alloys is of particular importance. Nickel-boron alloys, thanks to its unique properties, are very promising and popular in modern technology. Nickel-boride coatings have high hardness, enabling to use them instead of the chromium in the manufacture of molds, have good wear resistance, maintain the unique properties at high operating temperatures, exhibit low friction, high corrosion resistance, including in aggressive corrosive environments. Such coatings are obtained by electrochemical and chemical methods. However, the use of the electrochemical method for coating small details and goods of complex configuration has significant disadvantages. The aim of this work is to develop environmentally friendly technology of chemical nickel-boron plating of various functional purposes for the special equipment. It is shown that the reliability and stability of operation of both existing and perspective equipment depends primarily on the materials and coatings used in the critically-loaded nodes and elements of special equipment designs. The main result of this study is that we have designed several automated galvanic lines for plating the nickel-boron coatings, which are currently successfully operating in the Russian Federation.
