Public health communications offers the public a way to prohibit or impede the active promotion of hazardous products and unhealthy lifestyles; e.g. smoking and promote healthy choices and support to maintain an active lifestyle. The global burden of non communicable diseases, the risk of rapid spread of communicable diseases, high prevalence of unhealthy behaviors, including young people – is a major challenge for public health, requiring immediate involvement and intervention. For this purpose, were analyzed and summarized documents in public health policies to demonstrate their effectiveness and adherence to strengthening national capacity in health promotion and disease prevention and was studied the infl uence of the communication campaign on tobacco on changing the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the population aged 16-55 years old from rural and urban area. |
