Poor diet is one of the main four risk factors for noncommunicable diseases. Adoption of evidence based public health policies is essential for the improvement of the diet and the health of the population. The effectiveness of many interventions influencing diet and its associated factors was evaluated. The identified evidence support beneficial effects of prices, restrictions of marketing of unhealthy food to children, regulation of labelling and presentation of foodstuffs and mass-media campaigns. |
