Chronic diffuse liver disease progression caused by hepatitis C virus is modulated by a variety of factors: viral, host factors and external factors. An important role inchronic hepatitis C evolution and progression belongs to the morpho-functional disorders of hepatocytes, caused byactivation of lipid peroxidation processes and cascade of metabolic disorders. Increased serum copper, cytochrome P450 and ceruloplasmin levels werefoundin patients with chronic VHC, versus respective indices inpatients from control group. Increasing copper serum levels in patients with chronic viral hepatitis C, with moderate-maximum activity degree of hepatic infl ammatory process and its correlation with viral infection phase denotes hypercoppermia involvement in liver damageevolution. A direct correlation between maximum copper level in patients withmoderate-maximum activity of hepatic inflammatory processwas establishedin patients with chronic viral hepatitis C, which reflects copper participation in the development of necroinflamatory processes. A direct correlation ofcytochrome P450 levels with activity of one of the main liver syndromes was found-cytolytic syndrome, which reflects the immediate reactive response to the liverparenchyma inflammation andthe imbalance in the antioxidant protective system of the body. |
