Actuality: Breastfeeding is a natural form of nutrition adequate for a newborn and is an important factor in the formation of his health, having a multifaceted impact on physical and mental development in children, the formation of their behavior, intellectual development [Korovin NA et al, 2000 ; Bulatov EM, 2005; Williams A.F., 1994; Lucas A. et al., 1998; Dee D.L. et al., 2007 ; Pivik R.T. et al., 2007 ]. Breastfeeding has not only nutritive, but also psychological significance due to the contact between mother and child. Breast milk has a complex and multi-component chemical composition, not only provides unique protection against infections, but also stimulates the development of an own immune system in children. Objective: comparative analysis of lactation function in patients after physiological labor and caesarean section. Materials and Methods: This study was realised at the Perinatal Center of Chisinau Municipality from June 2013 to January 2014. The study included 400 postpartum women, devised in 2 groups: Ist group included 340 postpartum women after physiological birth, IInd group – 60 postpartum women, after caesarean section. For statistical data were used SPSS 20 and Microsoft Excel 2010 programs. Results: It was found that initiation of breastfeeding (within the first 30 minutes – 88,2%), has a positive effect on the formation and duration of lactation, which is not present in women after caesarean section, where 55% of new-born were breastfed after 2-3 h. Patients who were exclusively breastfed during their first year of life (85,6% ) were breastfeeding their children in 86,5 % of cases. From the disorders out of lactation function more frequent was the hypogalactia (31,2%), comparing with caesarean section (53,3%), which caused the transfer of children to artificial feeding. Conclusions: The breastfeeding has a big importance in the psycho-emotional development balance of the child. A favorable effect of breastfeeding on child growth and development as well as the health of the mother is proved. The caesarean section is a risk factor for the onset of hipogalactia. |
