Rezumat

In this article we intend to present a typology of characters identified in the novel Copil la rusi /Child at Russians by Leo Butnaru and Iepurii nu mor / Rabbits don’t die by Savatie Bastovoi. The characters identified are very different at the level of general human values, aspirations, and mentality because these novels aim at appraising the value of the concept of Soviet childhood. We shall use delimitation criteria such as the following: gender, age, social status, parental position in the state political life etc. We found children whose primary goal was the inclusion among the pioneers, the fight against the enemies of Soviet power wearing red tie and screaming “Always ready!” Another way to describe the time of childhood is the period of ineffable, the golden and the innocence age which has its origin in an ideal space that allows the child to keep best memories and adventures. The difference between the childhood of state staff’s children and that of simple peasants’ children or children left without parents after the war or deportation is what makes these characters individual.
