Village Telenesti attested on March 20, 1598, was a settlement of free peasants (yeomen). Between 1673 – 1685, Iordachi Cantacuzino bought from yeomen almost the entire estate. This illustrates, in full, the process of disintegration of yeomn properties and training of large estates. Subsequently, observing protimisis right, Teleneştii were owned by Ruset and Mavrocordat families (relatives by
blood or marriage). |
