Parallel with the society development has been registered the development of electric lighting, which was determined by apparition, development and diversification of the electric lamps. There are nearly 6000 different lamps manufactured today. This article focuses on the main categories of lamps that are used nowadays. Each category is described while some of the main characteristics are highlighted. The article could be useful for scholars, students or professionals that are interested in the light generation. |
