This work is devoted to problems of international labor migration from the Republic of Moldova in the European Union. The article presents statistical data related to this process. There are reflected consequences of the effects on the families of labor migrants, due to the lack of one parent and sometimes both. The author tried to predict the effects of social and economic influences. There are relevant conclusions in article. So, the migration has both positive and negative consequences for whole society and families in apart. It is needed to intervene in a decision issues at the governmental level in order to reduce the negative social consequences of migration. Such measures may be the promotion of circular migration that allows migrants to gain experiences abroad, encourages their return, for example, through tax mechanisms and institutional guarantees of jobs or scholarships.
