Rezumat | ||||||
The study, Adrian Marino’s „solitude”, analyzes the reception of Adrian Marino’s book, Viaţa unui om singur (Life of a single man), recently published at Polirom Publishing House after five years since the author’s death (according to the legacy) which has obviously become a best-seller. The book irritated many readers producing an earthquake in literary life
and inevitably challenging replies. An extravert legacy, of an impeccable civility, A. Marino created a figure of a solitary ideologist. The author believes that Adrian Marino proposed
in this book a utopian alternative for Romanian literature. The Romanian critics didn’t like calofile discourses and didn’t fall into the web of simple impressionism, he didn’t use
metaphorical ornaments, editing them in a technical, icy, penetrating and easily translatable language. Adrian Marino remains a great author, of a real importance, wishing the Romanian literature another destiny, another direction, meaning the monumental. |
