Relevance. Choosing a professional path is an important task decided by adolescents, their families and the state. Vocational guidance and medical professional consultation for adolescents with chronic diseases and developmental defects is a vital problem that determines further success in pursuing a professional trajectory in adulthood.The purpose of the work is to show the capabilities of a psychologist and pediatrician in conducting professional consultation and rehabilitation of adolescents with health problems and childhood disabilities. Materials and methods. The article presents our own experience of medical professional consultation with 940 adolescents with various health conditions. As methodological materials, the author’s manual on medical professional consultation is provided, which shows the role of the doctor and psychologist in professional consultation. A list of harmful occupational factors is given, a list of recommended professions and specialties for various chronic diseases. Results. The role of the psychologist and pediatrician in career guidance and professional counseling of adolescents at various levels of providing them with medical and psychological assistance is analyzed. The importance of teamwork between a doctor and a psychologist is shown in developing a professional trajectory for adolescents with health conditions and those at risk for their occurrence. Conclusion. Professional consultation for adolescents with health problems is one of the stages of medical, psychological, social and labor rehabilitation, which allows them to choose a worthy profession and determine their further success in pursuing a professional trajectory in adulthood.
