Rezumat

Introduction. In myoclonic seizures, polygraphy with simultaneous EMG-EEG recordings is a crucial tool for highlighting the peculiarities of epileptic myoclonic seizures. The goal. Study of clinical-neurophysiological features in patients with myoclonic epileptic seizures, namely clinicalelectroencephalographic correlations. Materials and methods. We performed clinical and neurophysiological examination (night EMG-EEG video monitoring - 10 hours) in 51 patients with myoclonic seizures (mean age 25 ± 9 years, 15 men). Results and discussion. In 36 patients we recorded 49 myoclonic seizures. Clinically, the combination of myoclonic seizures with generalized tonic-clonic seizures prevailed - 53%. The correlation of the myoclonus with the specific generalized hot flash was highlighted in the average third of the hot flash (44%). The onset of myoclonus on the polispike-slow wave pattern prevailed (41%) at the onset of the ascending portion of the slow wave. Conclusion. The evaluation of the clinical-electroencephalographic correlation of patients with myoclonic epileptic seizures demonstrates the presence of a vast polymorphism both clinically and electroencephalographically, which, although not strictly distinctive, suggest different mechanisms underlying myoclonus generation.
