Introduction EveryChild’s projects target vulnerable children who are in practice often the most marginalized and least likely to participate in their family, school or wider community structures. EveryChild’s ongoing participatory projects with children in Peru and India have an impact largely within local communities (though they reach further): these include a child rights radio programme and children’s parliaments which tackle community problems and children’s own difficulties. In Moldova, EveryChild’s one-off national children’s conference produced young people’s recommendations for reform of the childcare system. This received significant media and political attention, though impact at community level is hard to gauge and part of broader project outcomes. |
