Rezumat

The foundations for ensuring occupational and personal safety of police officers in Ukraine are defined and regulated by a number of key legislative documents which establishes all aspects of police activity, including issues of safety and protection of police officers' work. Protecting the rights and freedoms of every citizen, ensuring public order and safety, as defined in the Constitution of Ukraine, are fundamental principles on which any strategy in the field of law enforcement should be based. Organizing joint events, such as public discussions and working groups, can help increase the transparency of the law enforcement system and help citizens better understand the work of the police.
