| Rezumat | ||||||
The confessional policy of the Russian Empire in the 19th century was a part of the action system that aimed at maintaining the unity of the empire. This policy had different oriented vectors which were to serve one end: to ensure a population subjected to the Russian imperial power and idea. In the following lines we attempt to make a comparison between the North-Western provinces and Bessarabia concerning the application and functioning of the mechanisms used by the Russian confessional policy in order to reach the main objective – the unity of the empire. |
