The Romanian language is a Romance language, inherited from Latin, as Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and others. The Day of Romanian language, celebrated yearly at August 31, is a very good occasion to remember the role of this language in communication and dialogue between all Romanians living in Romania, Republic of Moldova and diaspora. The language is the main characteristic of Romanian ethnicity. This year, the Romanian Academy and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova celebrated together the Day of Romanian language. |
