Rezumat

The magnetophonon resonance in p-CdSb single crystals [p∼(2.5- 10.0)×1015 cm-3] was investigated. Magnetophonon oscillations were observed in the transverse magnetoresistance and in the Hall effect with different orientations of the magnetic field H with respect to the axes of the crystal (a, b, c) in fields H < 310 kOe at temperatures 55-125 K. It was established that for the orientations H ∥ a and H ∥ c the current carriers interact effectively with two longitudinal optical phonon modes and for orientations H ∥ b with three longitudinal optical phonon modes. Comparison of the phonon frequencies determined from the magnetotransport data and from infrared reflection spectra revealed modes which interact effectively with charge carriers. The appearance of magnetophonon oscillations of the Hall voltage is explained by the failure to satisfy absolutely the strong magnetic field condition.
