The”Alexandru Borza” Botanical Garden living plant collection comprises about 10.000 taxa, which are cultivated in the ornamental, phytogeographical, systematic, economic, nursery departments as well as in the endemic and rare plants from Romania department. By “ex situ” conservation and study of
a valuable gene-pool, as well as by educational activities aimed to promote the importance of plants, and environment, the Botanical Garden of Cluj-Napoca meets the three main missions that are to be computed by all similar institutions |
