Eleonora Romanescu by her prodigious creativity brought a new spirit in Moldavian painting. Evolved from the intimate poetry of simple, insignificant reasons, the painter slowly moves to the works in which she embraces, with a rare force to summarize, broader views, with a monumental-decorative character. Eleonora Romanescu’s works confesses a deep spiritual affinity of the painter with chromatic and compositional rhythms of folk art and occupies a prominent place in the Moldavian art landscape.
