The agro-industrial complex is often included in the list of economic sectors most exposed to corruption risks. Viticulture and winemaking share with the agro-industrial complex a tendency to corruption potential. The prestige and cultural characteristics of wine production increase not only the investment, but also the corruption attractiveness of this industry. The text provides specific examples of corruption in the wine industry from Russian and foreign practice. The state supports the wine industry, focusing on the expansion of vineyard areas at the moment. Nevertheless, winemaking is inevitably connected with technology and a legislative framework has been created to support the technological development of the industry, including in the context of ensuring technological sovereignty. The authors point out the need to consider corruption risks that have already been identified in the industry to prevent their negative impact in the future on achieving the goals ensuring technological sovereignty. |
