Non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas with primary involvement of the spleen
Primary spleen Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) currently remains the least studied of all malignant lymphomas. NHL prolymphocytic and lymphoma are frequently registered histological types. The most predominant by affected age group is 50-80 years, with an average age of 65.2 years. People in rural areas dominate the structure of the affected population. Pensioners get sick more often. Most of the patients are detected in the IV stage tumor. Splenomegaly is a main clinical symptom. Cytopenias with leukemia are typical laboratory results with an important diagnostic value. Splenectomy in combination with conventional chemotherapy is the most effective treatment method. |
