This article analyses the concepts of “system analysis'' and ''system''. A unified approach to the presentation of the characteristics of substances and materials has been developed for the first time. We propose a generalized model to identify the factors, affecting the characteristics of substances and materials. The article presents a concrete example of the developed unified approach, aimed at the determination of the factors, affecting the chemical durability of the glass. We have presented groups and subgroups of the factors of the unit “Characteristics of glass and glassware, '' affecting the chemical durability of glassware. We also discuss the advantages of the proposed system approach to present the characteristics of substances and materials. |
