In the contemporary society, the word "globalization" is on everyone's lips quickly became a catchword, magical incantation passport able to open the gates to all present and future mysteries. For some people "globalization" is something that we must achieve if we want to be happy, for others, our unhappiness arises from "globalization". The term "globalization" appeared in the late 60s of the twentieth century and was released from a Canadian specialist in the theory of mass communication means, Marshall McLuhan professor, Univ. Toronto and American specialist in "communism troubles", Zbigniew Brzezinski, Univ. Columbia. McLuhan extrapolated the lessons of the Vietnam War and launched the phrase "global state". The term globalization first entered into dictionary in 1961. In literature there are many definitions for this contemporary phenomenon. Currently, under the conditions globalization, information and communication flows and networks, opening new centers, along with the emergence of new periphery, a new hierarchy that ignores the sovereignty and borders, so a transnational or supranational hierarchy. |
