The article under consideration makes us realize the full significance of the increasing number of new words – neologisms. Neologisms are words that have appeared in a language in connection with new phenomena, new concepts, but which have not yet entered into the active vocabularies of a significant portion of the native speakers of the language. New words, as a rule, appear in the speech of a person who wants to express his idea in some original way. New lexical units are primarily used by university teachers, newspaper reporters, by those who are connected with mass media. |
