Rezumat

Ladybugs are known as a useful insects for the garden, which, in both its adult and larval stages, relieves crops of aphids, mites and other pest invertebrates. But it turns out there is exception, one species Harmonia axyridis wich contribute to the decline of beneficial native ladybug species. Research on ladybugs on the current territory of the Republic of Moldova began at the beginning of the 20th century. According to the updated data, 48 species of ladybugs have been identified and published in the Republic of Moldova. The purpose of this work was the inventory and identification of ladybug species from the multi-year alfalfa agrocenoses in the Republic of Moldova. Faunal collections of ladybugs were carried out in the months of April - August and October of the years 2020-2022 in the alfalfa fields located in 31 localities. 2,295 specimens of ladybugs were collected from alfalfa fields, with a total of 14 species highlighted, of which the most common were the species Hippodamia variegata, Coccinela septempunctata and Subcocinella 24-punctata were most often found.
