Rezumat

During COVID-19 pandemic, medical population proved to be susceptible to developing burnout syndrome - physical and emotional exhaustion, decreased performance, indecision, fatigue, insomnia anxiety, depression, all due to increased demands on the program, prolonged work, frustrations in case of failure to save patients' lives, pandemic uncertainty, fear of getting sick and infecting family members. In order to provide psycho-emotional support to the medical staff, weekly, during six weeks, psychoeducation webinars were organized in the sense of the possible mental health problems and the way to overcome them. The burnout was investigated using a screening questionnaire, which was completed by 137 people. Results: 15 people (10.9%) had no symptoms of burnout, and 122 showed different levels of burnout: 67 - low; 38 - medium and 17 - high level of professional combustion. Conclusion: Among the investigated medical population, 89.1% showed different levels of burnout, requiring psychological and / or pharmacological intervention.
