The efficacy of CPAP in treating OSAS symptoms has been well studied . CPAP eliminates snoring and significantly improves sleep quality. Randomized- controlled trials have shown that CPAP therapy improves excessive daytime sleepiness, evaluated both by objective and subject-ive methods, and reduces car accident rates. In addition, CPAP has been demonstrated to produce improvement of disease-specific quality of life measures. |
