In the long-term transformation of nature, synonymous to the genesis of cultural landscapes, besides the functionally positive and aesthetically attractive elements, the human being has also generated landscapes that summarize a series of negative traits, becoming non-functional and unaesthetic. In terms of immediate perception, they form a group of repulsive landscapes as regards their desolate physiognomy and the vulnerabilities they contain, including the safety they display in contact with visitors and their potential users. Genetically, they generally result from anthropogenic activities, and especially from the cessation of human intervention in terms of support, good management and controlled transformation of the other types of landscapes (agricultural, forest, tourist, habitation, historic, symbolic, etc.).
