The author proposes – the formula “domination of the Russian Empire” over countries in the process of its expansion is based, practically, permanently, the element of violent military action – “m” (Russian wars), conjugated with that of diplomatic confrontations – “d” (agreement negotiations, conventions, armistices and peace treaties). Over the centuries, some of the factors that influenced Russia’s wars, including the Russian-Turkish wars of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, which are part of the series of expansionist wars of the Russian Empire, were as follows: F – Phanariot; F – external; F – Internal, F – economic, etc. The Phanariotes’ factor (F – Phanariot), one of the most important – which is especially addressed in the author’s recent monograph, lies in the political and diplomatic involvement of the families of the Phanariot Greeks, through influence peddling and espionage to the detriment of the Ottoman Empire, especially during the years 1774-1812.
