Starting from the requirements in the elaboration of academic works, the article aims to highlight the importance of mastering the conventions of scientific communication. The literature dedicated to the particularities of communication practices in academia has pointed to the discrepancy between the level of knowledge of a foreign language, even higher, and that of meeting the standards of exigency from the perspective of managing specific fixed and defining structures for producing academic/scientific texts. It follows that a high degree of linguistic competence does not guarantee the mastery of everyday scientific language (CSL) or the satisfaction of the requirements of scientific discourse. Therefore, the paper exposes not only the difficulties of acquiring scientific language to non-native German speakers, but also the importance of developing the specific skills needed to use German in scientific discourse within the discipline of academic writing.

Pornind de la cerinţele în elaborarea lucrărilor academice articolul îşi propune să evidenţieze importanţa stăpânirii convenţiilor comunicării ştiinţifice. Literatura dedicată particularităţilor practicilor de comunicare în mediul academic a semnalat discrepanţa dintre nivelul de cunoaştere al unei limbi străine, chiar superior, şi cel al îndeplinirii standardelor de exigenţă din perspectiva gestionării structurilor fixe specifice şi definitorii pentru producerea de texte academice/ştiinţifice. De aici rezultă că un grad ridicat de competenţă lingvistică nu garantează stăpânirea limbajului ştiinţific cotidian (LŞC) ori satisfacerea cerinţelor discursului ştiinţific. Prin urmare, lucrarea expune nu doar dificultăţile însuşirii limbajului ştiinţific la vorbitorii non-nativi de limbă germană, ci şi importanţa dezvoltării competenţelor specifice necesare utilizării limbii germane în discursul ştiinţific în cadrul discipinei scriere academică.
