Rezumat

Local heritage research was always one of the most important stimuls for children development. Th is work proposes an attempt to describe a process of forming pupils’ creative abilities at lessons and in local history study group as well. Th e purpose is to reveal the basic level of data handling, main stages, problems and advantages of such work in the group. Th e article describes the main achievements of the local history study group “My white city” which was organized on the basis of lyceum “Petru Movilă” (Kishinev). Working in the group develops creativity, critical thinking and respect for national heritage. Undoubtedly the local history study is an essential condition for bringing up children to respect and love their country and national patrimony in the overall context.
