Statistics is a branch of science used in the research of mass phenomena, dependent on a multitude of factors. The fundamental statistical notions are represented by the individual and the population. If we consider the measurement of research data, it involves two steps, namely establishing the standard and establishing the procedure for comparing the standard with the quantity to be measured. In statistics there are three stages: counting (recording the presence or absence of characteristics of the subjects), classification/ ordering consists in placing the data or subjects in a certain order according to a certain criterion (ascending or descending) and comparison, which involves reporting the quantity to be measured at the theoretical quantity |
