This article is devoted to the crisis in Tajik-Afghan relations that has been triggered by the Tajik government's opposition to the reconstruction of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan,  where the ultra-conservative Islamic Taliban movement has returned to power. The research, the results of which are presented in the article, concern the analysis of the current state of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, as well as the threats posed by Tajikistan's policy to the national security of Afghanistan and the Central Asian region.
