Rezumat

Cercetarea riguroasă a materialelor poroase a început după 1990, odată cu obținerea silicei mezoporoase MCM-41 și, în cei ~30 de ani domeniul a avansat foarte mult, atât ca aplicații cât și ca materiale dezvoltate. Au fost dezvoltate materiale micro și mezoporoase deoarece cercetătorii au realizat importanța structurii poroase ca volum capabil să stocheze substanțe active ce urmează a fi eliberate dar și datorită suprafeței specifice mari generate. Materialele poroase sunt întrebuințate în diversele aplicații, de la materiale de construcții, la materiale pentru aplicații de mediu sau medicale. În cazul aplicațiilor medicale, cele mai răspândite utilizări sunt asociate cu livrarea de medicamente însă, deopotrivă, sunt intensiv studiate drept materiale antimicrobiene, pentru regenerare, diagnostic, etc. Această lucrare se va concentra în special pe capacitatea materialelor poroase de a livra agenți biologic activi în tratamentul diferitelor boli, în special coroborate cu bolile legate de microbiotă.

The rigorous research of porous materials began after 1990, with the obtaining of mesoporous silica MCM-41 and, in the ~ 30 years, the field has advanced a lot, both as applications and as developed materials. Micro and mesoporous materials were developed because researchers realized the importance of the porous structure as a volume capable of storing active substances to be released but also due to the generated large specific surface area. Porous materials are used in a variety of applications, from building materials to materials for environmental or medical applications. In the case of medical applications, the most common applications are associated with the delivery of drugs, but also intensively studied as antimicrobial materials, for regeneration, diagnosis, etc. This paper will be especially focused on the capacity of the porous materials for delivering biological active agents in the treatment of different diseases, especially corroborated with the microbiota related diseases.
