The Second World War is still of great interest for researchers in different areas. Economic international relations, military operations from the battle period of time have not been deeply investigated so far. There are a few reasons for that. They are as follows: lack of free access to archive documents of other states, lack of interest towards some moments of the war, direct engagement of the authorities in the writing/interpretation of history. Some events have been deeply investigated, thus being turned into legend or myths. Others were kept in secret from the public, for they still represent pages of tragic memories, caused by mistakes in planning and implementation process. The article under consideration describes some events that have not been covered so far in historiography. |
