Economic dimension of security is necessary and obvious. Ever, economic power generates security and poverty produces uncertainty, anxiety and insecurity. But security is not just protection against villains, and uncertainty is not reduced in the absence of such a protection system. Security is an important function of system and process, a condition of functioning and maintain dynamic equilibrium necessary to coexist in a complex environment, always changing, tense, competitive, complex developments, and often, unpredictable. In "Contemporary security studies" by Alan Collins, Christopher M. Dent explains that: "The pursuit of economic security broadly defines Foreign Economic Policy objectives". What actually the author will try by present paper is to explain: - How important is economic dimension in security analysis? - How Foreign Economic Policy determine security through its formation, pow¬ ers, protagonists and constituencies? - How by Foreign Economic Policy we identify the objective typologies of eco¬ nomic security? Author will conclude with the importance of taking into account all FEP powers and constituents to ensure security for a country as Moldova with a delayed transition. |
