The author reveals the meaning of tolerance as an ethical principle, adhering to which a public servant is able to best fulfill his professional duty of serving the people and every citizen. The interaction between tolerance and the main principles of civil service and service in local self-government bodies is indicated. The importance of the mood for consent and mutual understanding of a public servant during business communication with citizens and colleagues is emphasized. Tolerance is seen as an important element of the ethical competence of a public servant. |
