Rezumat

Socio-emotional intelligence (SEI) is a product of the social and emotional learning to the self-optimization and interpersonal performance; moreover, social and emotional competencies are interrelated, and there is an interchangeable relation between them as social interactions lead one's emotions. According to the theory of multiple intelligences advanced by Howard Gardner, social intelligence ("interpersonal intelligence") is separate from, but complimentary to emotional intelligence ("intrapersonal intelligence"), and we need both models in order to understand ourselves and the way we interact with others. SEI is a predictor of life satisfaction, of mental and psychical health in term of positive interactions with others. Through its competencies as intra/inter-personal, decision-making, self-expression, self-participation and stress management skills, the ones’ lead themselves to develop adaptive strategies to successfully cope with challenges, and lead them to personal and interpersonal performance and success.
