Study of some epidemiological aspects of Cryptosporidiasis at children that have
ADD (Acute Diaree Disease)
Cryptosporidium was detected in 19.1% at children with ADD (BDA), more of ten at children
older than 6 month in cities (25.7%) in summer (31.4%) in the northern (16.3) and
central (13.3%) areas. The most of cases of Cryptosporidium appear between May and
August, reaching the maximum in June (40.3%). The low intensity invasion (72.2%) was
predominant. In 45.4% of the cases the Cryptosporidium was detected in associations of 2
species (73.7%). Thanks to the detection of Cryptosporidium there was possible a 13.1%
increase of detection of ADD at children. This, it is recommended to set the diagnosis of
invasion using the laboratory method. |
