The patenting of the new plant variety give to the author (breeder) a possibility to obtain
exclusive rights on this variety, an outlook to obtain profits and stimulates the further
investment in the breeding activity.
In the article the matter concerns the brief theses on the procedure of granting the patent
for a plant variety, the list of plant varieties being subjects to the legal protection in the
Republic of Moldova, the practical aspects of preliminary examination of the applications
and some requirements relating to confer the denomination to a new variety. |
