This study investigates at the relationship between newborn children’s physical development rates and the basic morphofunctional characteristics of their mothers. The results demonstrated a significance, but not a high correlation of mothers’ signs, with the amount of r = 0.32, often having smaller values. More propotent correlations are shown between the newborns’ growth and weight with body weight and pelvis size of the mother. As a whole, it should be noted that to correlation coefficient r = 0.3 the determination coefficient 0.09, is corresponded, that is why any of the mothers’ signs determines the sign variations of newborns for not more than 9%. |
