In small and big modernistic prose of Ukrainian literature in twenties of XX century the writers deal with the problems connected with psychological metamorphoses which occur in consciousness of peasant who gets into the urban environment. The expressionistic prose of Nadia Surovtsova from the composite book «On the other side» isn’t the exception. In the dramatic monologue etude «Razluchnitsa» the writer shows emotional pain of peasant woman who was betrayed and abandoned by husband, who preferred her to mistress from the city. In this article the ideological and thematic analysis was conducted.
