Background. Liver transplantation has become therapeutically important method for patients with end stage liver disease. Evaluation of quality of life permits to assess the effectiveness of treatment after liver transplantation. Existing questionnaires need to be adapted. Objective of the study. Studying of existing questionnaires which assess quality of life in patients after liver transplantation Material and Methods. Targeted literature review in PubMed search was conducted using key words: liver transplantation; quality of life; questionnaire. Results. Using Pub Med database were found 93 articles, 25 were the most relevant for the aim of the study. Bell S.H et al. suggests the NIDDK-LTD adult QOL questionnaire [National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases – Liver transplant database adult QOL questionnaire] may reflect truly improved health status in-group of adult transplant recipients. This questionnaire permits to examine the relationship between diagnosis and individual symptoms as well as between measures in each domain (psychological status, personal and social function) and baseline severity of disease, thus permitting to examine and to study the quality of life across long follow up periods. Conclusion. The NIDDK-LTD adult QOL questionnaire is the effective tool for assessment of quality of life, which recommended to be validated in National Transplant Program. |
