Rezumat

Ritual persons in a Bulgarian wedding are a relatively stable system with a certain internal hierarchy and certain responsibilities. The bride is the main protagonist of the wedding ceremony. The newlywed in the Bulgarian villages of R Moldova is universally called a bun, the groom is called a young woman or zet. All wedding participants are called svadbari. Important ritual persons are: father-in-law and mother-in-law – father-in-law and father-in-law, planted father – kumat, planted mother – godfather, podkumi – close relatives of godfather and godfather, friend – brother-in-law; zalvi – close relatives from the groom’s side, young girls; moments and momens – young relatives, relatives and close friends of the bride and groom. Pobaschim and pomaichima are two characters that are important in the wedding ceremony of Bulgarians, which are not found among other ethnic groups inhabiting Moldova. The article gives a brief overview of the names of the ritual persons, their functions and the requisites of the Bulgarian wedding ceremonies in the Republic of Moldova.
