The article examines the international monitoring human rights and minority rights mechanisms’ recommendations on minority issues addressed to Moldova in the context of Agenda 2030. The focus of the analysis was to define relevant areas in the national legal and policy framework on minority rights that require special measures and attention of the government to meet its international commitments and achieve sustainable development goals. The article identifies specific issues of ensuring minority rights in the country based on a review of the recommendations of UN human rights and minority rights monitoring mechanisms and the monitoring reports of European minority rights monitoring bodies highlighting the needs for policy making on integration of minorities. |
