Rezumat

Research were conducted in the vivarium with using 20 female laboratory rats and their offspring. The effect of watering animal with citric acid in amount of 0.8 mg3 / kg body weight were studied . Animals received citric acid solution within 30 days before fertilization and during pregnancy. Some of the animals on day 21 of pregnancy were decapitated for taking samples of organs and embryos for further research. The remaining females continued watering with citric acid solution during the lactation period up to self-dependent feeding of infant rats. We take into account the number of offspring, viability, average weight. Established the stimulating effect of citric acid on the weight of rat fetuses, their craniocaudal size, body weight of pups in age of two months. However, there is a tendency to increasing pre-implantation mortality and the number of dead fetuses, compared to the control. Further, it is appropriate to conduct studies of the effect on the rats organism lower doses of citric acid.
