This paper presents the educational situation of students and young people with SEN in Romania and in the world, with special emphasis on measures that can be taken to improve the situation. The education of children and adolescents with special needs must meet all their specific developmental needs. Special education should also provide an adequate assessment of the specific developmental and learning potential of these children and should thus ensure the rehabilitation, recovery and compensation of their deficiencies. Beyond the resumption of theoretical concepts such as normalization, equal opportunities, integration, integrated and / or inclusive education, socio-professional integration in order to provide a comprehensive theoretical framework, this paper brings new notes by addressing disability from the perspective of identity construction, inclusion children with multiple associated deficiencies / multiple disabilities in this framework of inclusive education, as well as through the comparative analysis on the relationships that are established in tracing the aims of education between inclusive education and the general current of education. |
